The projects are listed in the book from the easiest to the more difficult, so ideally, you could begin at the front & by the time you finish each project, you very well could be well informed on so many different jewelry techniques. Consequently, the book is for beginners & more advanced designers. Linda Peterson covers (to name a few) resin, bracelets using elastics, making your own findings, beads, sizes (in inches & mm) and even a section describing & comparing tools. You'll learn how to make rings, necklaces, key chains, and more. I'm sure I'll be utilizing this book again & again! Do not hesitate to buy this book if you are looking for help with designing, assembling, and stimulating creations. If you didn't see from the title that I love this book, let me say for the record, "I LOVE THIS BOOK." Linda Peterson has really put together an amazing resource. She is a very talented and clever designer, and this beautiful collection of designs is delightfully eclectic.
Linda has used such a nice array of techniques and materials, that I'd have to say there is something for everyone here. I learned enough about some techniques, even some new ones, that I am confident I can master them.
After designing jewelry for more than 20 years, and having collected 200 or so books on various types of jewelry design, this lovely book is a big favorite. Thank you, Linda. You truly are a star!!
